Shabby Chic Mother's Day Gift Basket

Gift Basket Idea for best friend, girl friends, Mother's Day or any a "just thinking about you" occasion.  I wanted to design a more feminine gift basket for Mother's Day this year.  And when I think of feminine, I instantly think of doilies, laces, pinks and flowers.  Of course, any color or theme can be used to create so many girly and frilly projects.  However, I decided to go with flowers, lace pampering and a "touch of chocolates" to complete my latest Mother's Day Gift Baskets for this year.  Thought all of my good pictures were lost, but somehow "Google" has them all safe, sound and protected for me.  I don't know if this is a good thing or not.  I'm just happy my pictures aren't lost forever.   I won't even get into my "back up storage" situation.  Hope you like the pictures.  Thanks so much for watching.  Please leave a comment if you can.

Baskets each have a personalized etched coffee mug for drinking the soothing teas included in each basket.

Had so much fun creating the individual little boxes full of treats .  The paper stack used is called "Bloom" by My Mind's Eye

Tag included on each basket made with Stampabilities' "A Mother is" Stamp.

Cameo Silhouette Doc McStuffins Centerpiece

Cameo Silhouette Doc McStuffins Party Centerpiece

So, it's a new year and I have been busy, busy, busy.  I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions.  However, I have made a promise to myself to post more of my projects.  I always intend to take pictures and post videos during the "process" of designing and making a project.  It just never seems to happen that way.  Before I know it, the project is made and given to and/or shipped out to recipients.  And the only memory is in my head.    Well, we'll see how my new commitment to "myself" goes.

Lately, I've been obsessed with making party decorations with my "not so new" Cameo Silhouette cutter (I just Luv Luv Luv it).  I've had it for all of 5 months.  Jill Torres with cricflix has great youtube tutorials with many details on creating party decorations using the Cameo Silhouette.   Thanks to her, I have a renewed passion for Disney's Mickey and Minnie.  I've watched tons of tutorials and finally took the plunge to try creating these table centerpieces.  So,  here's my version of the popular Disney cartoon Doc McStuffin characters

Main character "Dottie" along with "Lambie".  Dottie is 18" tall and Lambie (version #3. See video) is 11 inches tall. They are "double sided" (same picture on both sides) and prevents having a plain white back side.  The most amazing part for me was that they both were created using my regular Lexmark Prospect pro inject printer.

It was so rewarding to have this project turn out so good. Now, if I can only take some good pictures of the next few characters I can't wait to make. Wish me luck!
