Parties, Favors and Treats

Cameo Silhouette Doc McStuffins Party Centerpiece

So, it's a new year and I have been busy, busy, busy.  I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions.  However, I have made a promise to myself to post more of my projects.  I always intend to take pictures and post videos during the "process" of designing and making a project.  It just never seems to happen that way.  Before I know it, the project is made and given to and/or shipped out to recipients.  And the only memory is in my head.    Well, we'll see how my new commitment to "myself" goes.

Lately, I've been obsessed with making party decorations with my "not so new" Cameo Silhouette cutter (I just Luv Luv Luv it).  I've had it for all of 5 months.  Jill Torres with cricflix has great youtube tutorials with many details on creating party decorations using the Cameo Silhouette.   Thanks to her, I have a renewed passion for Disney's Mickey and Minnie.  I've watched tons of tutorials and finally took the plunge to try creating these table centerpieces.  So,  here's my version of the popular Disney cartoon Doc McStuffin characters

Main character "Dottie" along with "Lambie".  Dottie is 18" tall and Lambie (version #3. See video) is 11 inches tall. They are "double sided" (same picture on both sides) and prevents having a plain white back side.  The most amazing part for me was that they both were created using my regular Lexmark Prospect pro inject printer.

It was so rewarding to have this project turn out so good. Now, if I can only take some good pictures of the next few characters I can't wait to make. Wish me luck!

Personalized Holiday Gift Tins

Holiday themed gift tins.  I can't seem to get enough of them.  Or is it that I can't seem to "make" enough of them.  I must admit that I had to work overtime in my Santa I mean my "craft" workshop to complete 14 of these tasty treats gift tins.  They were so much fun to make and gave me a great excuse to buy and use beautiful cardstock papers.

I think the most fun part of making these was creating a different look from different scrapbook paper stacks and coodinating them together to give as gifts.  Won't be much rest time ahead for me.   Valentine's Day will here before I know it.  Time to get ready, get ready, get ready.    Thanks for watching.  Please leave a comment.

Used Heidi Swapp's BELIEVE
Christmas paper stack for this gift tin.  "Tis the Season"... tag from same paper line.  Hanging ornaments cut using image from Silhouette America site.    Various glitter colors used to make glass ornament craft.  All "Too Cute"!!!

I just keep adding more and more tinsel and strips.  It would be nice if Christmas calories didn't count.
