Cricut and Crafts

Shabby Chic Mini Album

Couldn't wait to get these pics posted. I've wanted to do this scrapbook album for a while since getting this chipboard album from Michael's during Easter time. I'm loving how it's turning out. Would be great momento for Mother's day, special friend, and sisters. Love having it in my craft room.
I added a few of my own pages (of course). Even added a couple of clear acrylic pages. Plan to add video when done. Would love any comments. Thanks for watching

Elegant Easter Treats

This carrot box was created to use hold treats during Easter Time. With color change of supplies, this box can be changed to use for any theme.  Box was cut using the Cricut Cartridge, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2.  It is the ornament box.  Got this idea from TX scrapper Mom.  Had to change design some to use supplies I had on hand.  Created many of these treat boxes and was lucky to snap a picture of one before I gave them all out.  Just too cute!
Please feel tree to leave a comment.  Thanks for watching.

Beginnings of Paper Bag Mini

Hi Everyone.  I've posted my first you tube video for starting a paperbag mini album.  Using a lot of mixed media techniques learned from other scrapbooking and mixed media artist sites.   Stay posted for progress.

PRINT AND CUT TAGS CREATED USING CRICUT AND INJECT PRINTER

First, I created a page of Avery "labels" using a digital scrapbooking program template and printed it out on regular printer paper. You can also use the standard Avery labels in Microsoft Word program.
Next, I created a page of tags using the Gypsy and Cricut markers instead of the cutting blade.I tried to line each tag up visually to match Avery label template. It took several attempts because I had to keep "tweaking" tag locations on the Gypsy virtual mat until they matched perfectly to my printed tags on the inkjet.I just held printed label sheet and the "drawn" Cricut sheet of tags up together in front of bright light to check if the aligned like I wanted them to.

Once, the set up work was done, I printed multiple pages of my labels on cardstock (had to cut down to 8 1/2" by 11" to fit printer. Next, I ran cardstock paper instead of actual labels through my printer to print the tags. Lastly, I lined up printed cardstock on Cricut mat and "cut" out tags. I made 250 of them for wedding favor boxes.

Christmas Tag
My version of tag # 5 of the Tim Holtz 12 days of Christmas.  For a few years, I've wanted to participate in submitting my version of Tim Holtz's tags he features on his blog for "The 12 Tags of Christmas", but I am always too late to start.  Sooooo, this year I've been checking his blog starting on "Black Friday".  He has the wonderful movie type preview of this event.  I have anxiously awaited his first tag post.  I have many of the Ranger, Tim Holtz products, but not nearly enough to duplicate his items/tags exactly.  Participating in making my version of his tags lets me really tap into my creativity ability (or inability).    Well, as you could guess, my life got crazy and when I thought of Tim again was on last night when tag #5 was posted.  I have already missed making tags # 1-4.  I was a little disappointed in myself for about 1/2 of a second.  I decided, to just start with tag #5.  And here it is!  Of course, you'll need to see the original idea to know just how "creative"  I really had to get (LOL).

Used :  Tim Holtz/Ranger Currant colored alchol ink, Martha Stewart "branch" punch to make wreath, and "Stampendous" music score background stamp.  and Imaginesce crystals.

This is final product after wasting messy green pain, grunge board and cut up useless heart shaped cuttlebug dies trying to make a circle/wreath shape.

This is Tim Holtz's tag.  Big difference I just think he is amazing.  You must take a look at his site if you're any kind of crafter, artist, etc.  I realize that I need more alcohol inks and not just Distress inks.  Oh well, onto day/tag #6.  It's going to be fun since I do not have most of those items either. I do have my Cricuts.  So, I'll be searching for the right Reindeer to make tag #6 tonight.

Check out Tim's blog.  See below.

Car Decal
High School Homecoming Week.
This car window decal was cut using white contact paper and the Cricut expression using Sure Cuts A Lot software.  Believe it or not, it lasted through rain, sleet snow and peeled off easily to remove.
